FRP term is not new to you. Fiberglass reinforced polymers are special materials used by major FRP Tanks Manufacturers India to produce entire range of FRP tanks and silos for industrial clients. The mechanical properties and behaviors of FRP including composites with basalt (BFRP), aramid (AFRP), carbon (CFRP), and glass fibers (GFRP) should be understood to undertake the design structure using these reinforcements.

Since many industries are replacing their conventional steel reinforcements with FRP range of products, FRP material manufacturers are using latest technology and supreme quality raw materials to meet standards set by industries and marketers. FRP systems are widely acceptable as compared to steel reinforcement for reinforced concrete structures including pre and post tensioned bridges, cast-in place, precast concrete pipes, beams, columns, and other components.

FRP strengthens the structure and make it anti corrosive. More and more engineers in public and private industries are sourcing FRP profiles due to the sturdiness and robustness they offer in construction projects. These materials are-

  • GFRP

FRP with glass fibers are GFRP. Manufacturers widely use e-glass fiber for GFRP range. This fiber has high electrical insulating properties, great heat resistance, and has lowest cost. S-glass fibers have more heat resistance and about 1/3rd higher tensile strength as compared to e-glass. Then there is specialty AR-glass fiber that is resistant to the alkaline environment found in the concrete and is highly priced.

  • BFRP

Basalt fibers are higher in tensile strength as compared to e-glass fibers, but lower than s-glass fibers. The good thing is that BFRP costs near the cost of e-glass fiber. It has better resistance than E and S-glass to the alkalies present in concrete.

  • AFRP

Aramid fibers have high strength and 40% lower density than glass fibers. Amarid fiber costs higher than basalt and glass fibers that make it less common in structural applications. AFRP has ability to absorb moisture. You can use AFRP to construct storage silos.

  • CFRP

Carbon fibers are high in tensile strength and elastic modulus. This CFRP material is used in the aerospace industry for its strength to weight ratio that is among the highest of all FRPs.

FRP Tanks Manufacturers India are sourcing these FRPs for constructing many products for distinct industries.
